| SCOTLAND 2003 July 29-Aug 11 |
| THE STORY: Last year we (Robinson HS Theatre) were nominated to apply for a slot in the national tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival organized by the American High School Theatre Festival. We did, and were thrilled to be selected as one of the winners from across the United States to tour a show to Scotland in August of 2002, now postponed to August, 2003. At the moment, FCPS has again restricted international field trips. So our group is in the process of going independent, as The Kings Park Players. This is no longer a Fairfax County Public Schools field trip. But planning and non-FCPS fund raising will continue! So here we are, planning and fund raising, and all excited to be representing the whole Washington metropolitan area at the world's largest theatre festival next summer. The trip, in late July/early August, will include two days in London, special tours around Scotland, four performances of our show, the Royal Tattoo (that's a performance), and MUCH more. Please see our page on Fundraising! |
