Parents who attend the Drama Boosters  welcome/dessert meeting Sept.10 at 7:00-9:00) can take the tour and sign your permission slip on the spot.  NO ONE climbs ladders/uses tools without this stuff, so get it done now, then join in!

DRAMA DAD and DRAMA MAMA
Robinson Theatre Arts Boosters is looking for parents to help!  As simple as loaning a chair, as cheap as chaperoning a set painting session, as invaluable as driving around in your car (or better yet, truck??).  There are lots of ways to help get the show on the road.  Drama Boosters is a SMALL dedicated group of one-time-helpers and trusty crew-sponsors. PLEASE get your parents to attend the first meeting /theatresports demo. on Mon. night (9/10) from 7:00-9:00.

THE ROLODEX
Did you fill out a white rolodex card? If you're not sure, PLEASE check with one of the people running around orgainzing today, or ask Mr. Rome. (If you did one in Drama Class, you're all set). It only takes a moment. Don't be left out!!!

THE MAIL BOXES
How do you let "us" know you've got a question or want to help?  In the Drama Room (at the bottom of the ramp to the right as you leave the theatre) there is a cabinet of mailboxes. These include mail for Mr. Rome; I.T.S.; Theatre Sports; Boosters; A.D.; Tech Director (Tech tests, etc.); and each production department during a show.  Feel free to use these; they're for you!

THEATRE SPORTS
We don't just do plays here at Robinson!  We've also got a nationally known reputation for improvisation tournaments called Theatre Sports. We do three local events anyone can get in on, and sponsor three countywide tournaments.  It's rowdy and fun, and takes lots of wit but little time.  Even the audience gets in the act. To get in on it, contact Dana
via the Theatre Sports mailbox.

FREESTYLE THEATRE SPORTS
Here's an exciting kickoff event for those who love theatre sports and for those who want an introduction to it.  We're going to play fast and loose at an early "pre-season game" with limitless teams, and challenges and variables from the audience. One night only—Oct. 5!!!

SHORT PLAYS CAP OFF THE YEAR!
Student directed short plays will be held this year on
May 29-30-31 in the Black Box. If you've written something you'd like to see produced, or want to direct, contact Sarah Russell (mailbox in BBox). The deadline for submissions is December 1st.  What do you need? Check HERE.

I.T.S.
Troupe #3380 of the International Thespian Society is our official drama club/honor society (the unofficial drama club produces the plays).  Membership is based on a system of points earned for every kind of participation in high school theatre events, from box office to backstage, from usher to actor.  Dues pay for "Dramatics" magazine and other benefits. There are service projects, state (dates/place TBA (winter)) and nat'l conventions, scholarships, and social events.  The first meeting of the year, open to anyone interested, is TBA. Watch the Callboard!

WHAT'S "LINCOLN"??
You may be hearing about "Lincoln", Nebraska, the location of the June national
ITS convention.  Just you and 3000 drama jocks like you from all over the country.  Gather for a FULL week of workshops, performances, scholarship auditions, and new friends.  It's a big trip (and cause for major fund-raising), but one that you'll remember for a lifetime!

THE BLACK BOX
The Drama classroom, The Black Box, is also a terrific intimate production space.  Our student-directed short plays will be presented there this winter, and numerous other performance opportunities may be arranged.  Got some ideas? Want to help?  Contact us via the Black Box Productions mailbox in the Drama Room.
